, This is a Leaf Spring Steel Khukuri that is based on the one I carry in my car. The Full Tang handle has a striker plate for the pommel with a lanyard hole . Handle is more Americanized grip. Spine is 1/4 inch thick and distal tapers toward the tip. It comes with a useful sharp utility knife (3 inch blade) for small work. The Khukri weight varies slightly (+/- a couple of grams) as these are hand forged. This is a good knife for General Purpose camp use and can be used for self defense. Price includes shipping inside the USA.

I own many different types of knives, but this was my first Kukri. Have plenty of Onterio knives and Ka-bars
I also own the last US made original Frank Bowie
This Kukri I thought was dull, but it’s just because I had forgotten how much I used it after the thrill opening it from the packaging and chopping all my fire wood for this ice storm.
Only using the small knife it came with, the blade took a sharp enough edge to shave skin on my finger tips.
It sharpens up to a serviceable chopping edge very quickly and I’m back in business
The metal can rust but polish up good enough very quickly
I rate this knife very highly and am impressed
Thought about a cold steel kukri and may still get one. But I’m definitely buying more from knives by hand. Probably the Eli knife and Huginn next
I second guessed this old style, but after owning it for a long time and unable to hurt the thing. I can’t recommend it enough
Now on this model, I love it, but be sure to have a wrist lanyard. You don’t have a pommel to keep it from sliding out as easy
But I do like the low profile handle and that’s why this was my choice of Kukri
Just have a lanyard and no Worries
