Description
CTC This blade was designed by Carrie Lopez. She wanted a blade she could use around the ranch to remove the limbs off of fallen trees. She sketched it out and handed me the design. The handle is full tang with cross hatch markings for grip and includes a Lanyard hole. Note the front and rear of the handle grip area is designed to keep your hand from sliding. The handle size is designed for medium sized hands. I recommend wrapping the handle with grip tape if you have large hands.
One of the Letters “C” stands for Carrie. Those that are close to Carrie know the meaning of the other 2 letters. This is one of my favorite blades. It is simple design and gets the job done. I purchased one of these EXCELLENT BLADES in the CTC Knife Kit on August 18, 2025. As I mentioned, this is an excellent blade and I used to help clear downed trees from that Very Bad Ice Storm we had back at the end of March 2025. There was a lot of damage here in Northern Michigan and The CTC Knife has been invaluable to me with this task. With that said, I can say now, BUY ONE.

This is a great knife which is way more practical for way more tasks than you might think if you never had something like it. It will clear brush, chop, split kindling like a froe, and more. I will often find myself reaching for this instead of my belt knife when camping, it has a lot of utility and can do 90% of your cuting needs. I have a couple of knives like this, but this is now my favorite. The reason is that the handle is super comfortable in any type of grip whether cutting, chopping, or doing detailed carving like cutting notches. the other reason is this is the first knife of this size that I have with a hollow grind that goes into a convexed bevel. I like this geometry because there is less blade stick or friction when you are chopping particularly through wood. It also makes the entire blade a little lighter and more nimble. You often hear about a heavy chopper, but this is a light chopper that still has plenty of power. It length gives it leverage to chop instead of depending on heavy mass. It looks massive but is surprisingly light.
