Let me just start with Value!! This is a great all around khukuri belt knife!! It’s lightweight, easy to handle, fast!! With simplicity it has everything u need nothing you don’t!… all to be worn extremely comfortable on your belt. If u have giant hands this knife may not be the knife for you. I don’t, so I think the handle is perfect. With the traditional ring on the handle to help lock your grip in, to the finger choil for finer task. A great tool without breaking the bank. U won’t find a better bang for your buck!!

This is the little brother to the Expedition kukri. Very similar design just a little shorter, lighter, and thinner. 80% as capable at a little over half the weight. If I could only own one it would be the Expedition, but both have their place for me. On both I ground the front and back of the pommel down a little and rounded them on a belt grinder. I also rounded the bottom of the ring on the wood scales a bit on this one. The Sandan also has a little smaller finger choil and the thinner stock is less comfortable for long term use in one session. Add micarta and a slightly larger choil, and this may become my favorite kukri. As is it’s great, and a close second to the expedition.
