Description
Introducing a Khukuri designed by Alan Kay. Alan flew to Nepal and worked with my blacksmiths (Kamis in Nepalese language) on creating this khukuri. Alan Kay will be telling this story later. He designed a full tang Khukuri with micarta handle. It comes with a useable side knife that will have a micarta handle and a scraping tool. While the small knife sheath is attached to the scabbard, the side knife sheath can be removed and worn on the belt. The Chak Mak is upgraded to also a scraping tool and can be used to strike sparks from a ferro rod. The sheath is traditional with metal brass tip added. This Khukuri comes with a finger choil for choking up on the blade. Alan teaches many techniques. I invite you to come visit Alan and myself at Mountain Readiness in North Carolina – May 2, 3 and 4th 2025
The knife weight varies slightly (+/- a couple of grams) as these are hand forged. This is a good knife for General Purpose camp use and can be used for self defense. Price includes shipping inside the USA.
