I have owned one for about a year. I Also had the sheath made for it, it is worth it. It is sharp, and handles great. Took it to the back yard and put it to work. It cuts just like you want, if you need to build a shelter it will cut through with the leverage you need to cut thick branches you need. This is the right knife to put in your bug out bag, great worker around the home or woods. If you are not sure if you want a Khukuri buy this one, you will not be disappointed

I own and have trained with many kukris since I was a boy. I also trained for many years in Bando (Lethei) from Myanmar, which is one of the only fighting arts that has a specific system just for the kukri.
This kukri is amazing. Excellent balance and weight. The fit and finish are great. Hands down the best kukri I own. Only my antique kukris even come close to being this well built. Well done!

Fantastic!. I got the MK4 first which is pretty identical to this but 3/8″ thick. This bad boy right here is so nice and lighter and easier to maneuver and it does not take as long to get tired swinging it. Arrived super sharp and packaged great. The side knife was surprisingly sharper than expected and is actually a very good length and size to use as a side/patch knife, it also fits tight in the sheath and I have no concern with it coming out. The sheath is very well made as well.
Overall, I highly recommend you buy this Khukuri or the MK4 model or both and compare yourself. Both are excellent and will get the job done. Next on my list is the Harpoon Khukuri.
Also, fantastic communication by Frank on the order and shipping.
Thank you
Mark

Ok I’ve had a few kukri’s but this one is made to use. I’ve used this thing to split wood that was 6 to 8 inches around. I honestly expected for it to chip. But it did not. I split oak, beach, and pine that was still green. After a put it through a hard workout I was still able to shave the hair off my arm. I took it to a 3 day survival class and it impressed everyone there. I love it so much I ordered the mountain blackened kukri which is a little bigger and can’t wait to get my hands on it. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a none Tourist kukri. These are the real deal and are made for hard use.

I forgot to mention one thing . The little fixed blade knife that comes with the kukri is absolutely amazing it is hard enough to use on a ferro rod I have used it dozens of times to start Fires it has The perfect angles on the spine to throw sparks. And I used it To process A chicken on the Homestead. Just like the kukri it holds a good edge.

I ordered this kukri about a month ago. The first thing I did was whack it into some Cedar Elm logs I had laying around. It is pretty hard wood, there was no edge rolling and the edge was still sharp. Frank the owner was also friendly and responsive to emails asking questions about the kukris. Buy with confidence

I bought these on a whim to try it out on my south texas deer lease. Its brush country my only concern was ive been using a machete all my life in this thorny habitat. My concern was how useful would it be chopping thorny bushes because of its length. I aint going to lie it takes some getting used to. But after putting it to the test last year i can tell you it works diligently. From chopping branches and clearing limbs to processing game. It has exceeded my expectations. It is now a daily carry on my truck. Its not just a looker. It is a utility knife. The small knife that comes with it is also excellent. It takes an edge. If you are on the fence this is the one you need. Im looking forward to buying a shorter one in the 8 to 9 inch length. They are tough. No chipping and they hold an edge. It is heavy to carry on your belt all day. But it takes the place of a machete a knife and an ax. Should have ordered the leather sheath but i didnt. Now im trying to find the fellow that used to make them out of colorado i think

I have looked at different knives on here for almost 10 years now. I first added a bookmark back in 2016 because I knew I wanted to buy one of these but just didn’t have the money at the time. Every year before Christmas I would revisit my favorite kukris here and pine over them but couldn’t find the money to purchase one. I finally made that purchase as a Christmas present this year and I can safely say the survival kukri is everything I wanted it to be. It is an absolutely beautiful knife as well as the smaller knife and both came razor sharp. Holding it in your hand you can feel the craftsmanship and know you have a quality tool in your hand. I have absolutely no regrets with my purchase and look forward to putting it through it’s paces. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! I really like the smaller knife compared to the two traditional knives. I have pretty large hands and the smaller knife is just the right size for fine detail work or camp cooking. I am immensely happy with the product I received and look forward to another purchase!
