This is the Version 2 of the Trail Knife and is a Nepal made reproduction of my personal knife. We have spent months on getting it to match my personal blade. One technique I use is to choke back to the end of the handle and use it for chopping. This provides extra leverage as if it was a larger knife.
Nikki (Colorado, USA) did an excellent job on the sheath. It is Kydex that is wrapped in leather. It has a strap for attaching to a ruck / back pack and can be carried normal strong side carry or Scout Carry. This sheath is included with the knife.
The Full Tang Handle has been upgraded to a Palm swell design so that your hands do not slip forward or back of the grip area. Cross Hatch Jimping has been put on the spine. Usable finger Choil and Lanyard hole for those that want one. This is a sturdy tough knife. Tip is reinforced with the false edge and the blade tapers from mid spine to point for balance. The Recurve edge allows for skinning of game. The knife weight varies slightly (+/- a couple of grams) as these are hand forged. This is a good knife for General Purpose camp use and can be used for self defense and is one of my personal favorites. Price includes PayPal fees, shipping cost (inside the USA) and custom sheath by Nikki of LonghornLeatherCO.com (Colorado) .
