Description

Bringing a Khukuri to you from Nepal.  Neem is the maker. This sharpened and heavy duty design is based on  ” Historical khukuri used in World War II”. History of this style of blade comes from the battle fields.     This is a recreation and has the stronger bolster and strong full tang.   Steel tip on the scabbard. This knife balances on the cutting edge.  See video below. (ANGHOLA , ANGKHOLA)

It comes with the scabbard and traditional side knives – The Karda (small knife) and the Chakmak (used to hone blade in the field) are useful in size.

The knife weight varies slightly (+/- a couple of grams) as these are hand forged.  This is a good knife for General Purpose camp use and can be used for self defense.  Price includes shipping inside the USA.

Ordered the blade Sunday morning and it was in my hands Wednesday afternoon. This is my first quality khukuri. Others I have or have examined are no comparison whatsoever. The fitment and craftsmanship is top notch. Blade is mirror polished and is quite literally razor sharp out of the package. Slices paper just like the videos and removed hair from my arm. This knife is scary well balanced; it feels like an extension of my hand. Some others from other sellers I have used feel more like a cheap machete. Not so with this one. Accessory knife is functionally serviceable but mine may need a light honing for skinning purposes. The only fault I can find is during shipping, the plastic wrap over the sheath affected the leather polish just a little. Easy fix, plus this will be my field use knife. Sheath is a proper tight and perfect fit; blade doesn’t come out unless you want it to. Everything is clearly handcrafted, but great care was evidently given to every single detail. You can trust Knives By Hand and the products they sell if this is any indication of the rest of their offerings. I will be buying more!
